Castro Valley - Skyline/Pinehurst Loop

SUN. 1/5/14 4-M 40 miles 9:30 a.m.

This ride will start in Eastern Castro Valley and travel up Redwood Road to Skyline Road in Oakland. We will follow Skyline Road to Pinehurst and loop back to Redwood Road, stopping near the end of the ride for coffee at Bodi's Coffee in Castro Valley. This ride has a listed elevation gain of 4,160 with lots of great scenery.

Directions: Take I-580 west from the Dublin area and take Exit #39, Eden Canyon Road/Palo Verde Road. Go left at the bottom of the ramp, crossing under the freeway. Park off the roadway just past the stop signs at the intersection of East Castro Valley Blvd and Palo Verde Road.

Please note that there are no rest rooms or water at the start, so plan ahead.
