Livermore - Diablo - Morgan Terr. - Patterson Pass
5-M 101 miles 8:00 a.m. Livermore - Diablo - Morgan Territory - Patterson Loop
Please join me for my slightly belated birthday ride! The full route will be a 101 mile loop from Livermore to the summit of Mt. Diablo, then over Morgan Territory, out the Altamont and returning over Patterson Pass (essentially the first half of DMD). This route has just under 10,000ft of climbing. We'll start at the old Nob Hill Shopping Center (South Livermore Ave. at Pacific Ave.) in Livermore. There are several opportunities to shorten the route: 52 miles as an out-and-back to the junction, 60 miles to the summit, and around 80 miles by skipping the Altamont and returning on Greenville. Rest stops will be at the junction, summit of Diablo, Clayton, Morgan Territory Park, and the Starbucks on Vasco. Bring plenty of food or money to purchase food in Clayton or the Vasco Starbucks. Water will be available at all the rest stops. Note the earlier than normal start time so we can finish the full route before sunset.
