8:30 am: Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge to Menlo Park and San Mateo

2-L/M 55 miles 8:30 a.m.   Meet at the Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge, 1 Marshlands Rd., Fremont 94555 upper parking lot. 1,615' elevation gain all finished before mile 25. We will stop for lunch at Freewheel Brewing Company at mile 46 before returning. Some of this ride will be new territory for me so you must have a sense of adventure! The visitor center is on Marshlands Rd. in Fremont.  Take Thornton south of Hwy. 84 and turn right on Marshlands; parking lot will be on right. Carpool option: Danville Park & Ride, north east side of Sycamore Valley Rd. exit from I-680. Leave Park & Ride @ 7:45am.
