Dave Gilbert (our club's VP) will be hosting a ride starting at Shannon Park in Dublin and heading out to the beautiful Calaveras Road which goes by Calaveras Reservoir and continues on to "the Wall" (before the drop to Felter Rd.).
Riders can easily adjust this route to the length of ride they would like to do. Turn around points can be at the Corner Market in Sunol for a 22 mile loop, or at Geary Rd. for a 32 mile route. Climbing to the false summit at mile 18 would give riders a 38 mile ride. Dave will be riding to "the Wall" and riding at a Moderate pace, for those who would like to ride with the host.
An optional stop at Peet's at the intersection of Valley and Hopyard is suggested, or the Corner Bakery or Starbucks at the intersection of Valley and Bernal (turn into the shopping center near Mike's Bikes).
Remember, there are no water/fuel/restrooms on Calaveras, please come prepared.
