Virtual ZWIFT 6Fifteen Ride
When
29 Apr 2020
6:15 PM - 8:00 PM
Location
Virtual Alpe du Zwift
You may have heard that you need to be at a "Certain Level" on ZWIFT to do this route. True but, with a Meetup that does not apply.
Follow Erik Hofman The Dutch Diesel on ZWIFT. He can then invite you to the Meetup. A huge shout out to Erik for setting this up.
Download the ZWIFT Companion App. You'll get the invite in the Companion and you'll be able to see the group messaging during the ride.
Be sure to open the invite and click on "Going"; This adds you to the Group.
The ride will start at 6:15. I suggest getting on ZWIFT 5 to 10 minutes ahead of time. Before the ride begins you you'll be prompted to "Join". It takes a little bit of time for you to get in.
We have to ride a little bit before we climb so you should get warmed up but, while waiting you can start pedaling and you'll be put on virtual trainer.
The names of all riders in the group will be highlighted in green (I think) so you can identify people on the ride. Helpful because there will be other riders on the route.
I suggest we ride over together but like the Hammerfest we'll likely split up on the climb. Again, because you can identify other riders you can form your own groups.
Since there is no actual Junction, hole in the fence or Downtown Danville on ZWIFT I am not planning on any regroups. Bend 7 will be "the end."
Plan on at least 1.5 hours.
