VSBC has implemented online registration for all events. All ride participants (members and non-members) must register online.

All ride participants (members and non-members) must register online and agree to the liability waiver prior to riding using either the VSBC website ride calendar or the ride calendar on the ‘Wild Apricot for Members’ app for iPhone or Android. Participants must follow county, State and CDC guidelines for social distancing and masking which are listed in the ride registration information. 

All rides are rated according to predicted difficulty based on Terrain and Pace. See our Club Ride Ratings for complete info.  Send a request to one of our Ride Coordinators to add your ride to the calendar. Please include: date, start time, starting location, distance, ride rating, brief description, ride with GPS  link or route sheet.

    RIDE DETAILS

    Join us on Saturday 10/1 starting at 8:30 a.m. for a 33.4 mile ride from San Ramon to Blackhawk, Alamo, Danville and back. The ride will start from Peet's Coffee near Bollinger Canyon and Dougherty Roads in San Ramon. 

    Mileage and Rating: 33.4 miles 2-3 L/M with 2000 ft. elevation. This is a no-drop ride with two regroups and an additional coffee break at the Peet's Coffee in Alamo. Restrooms are available at the starting point and at the regroup locations.

    Start Time: 8:30 a.m. Please arrive 15 minutes early for ride preparation, check in, and safety briefing.

    Start and End Location: Peet's Coffee at 11000 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon.

    You must register online on the VSBC website or via the Wild Apricot app in order to participate in the ride. Please bring your own route sheet as I will not have any paper copies. You do not need to be a VSBC member, but we appreciate your support if you intend to ride with us often.

    In case of cancellation due to rain or any other reason, an email will be sent the day before the ride.

    The Mount Diablo Challenge is a 11.2 mile timed cycling hill climb to the summit.

    Hours of Operation:
    Set up between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

    Space:
    The Expo is in the parking lot area located at TBD where all riders will return for food & refreshment.
    All spaces are outdoors, no inside space. There are no electrical connections.
    There is no vehicle access to the patio area.


    Provisions:
    Pop-up canopies, tables and chairs provided by exhibitor.

    A German restaurant in Alameda celebrates Oktoberfest every year - Speisekammer restaurant. start is at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, 4901 Breakwater Ave. Hayward, CA 94541. We usually spend about an hour+ for lunch and a beer, bring a bike lock

    Approx 10 miles of flat gravel roads and 30 miles of bike trail on this ride, just about any bike will work, I ride a hard tail mtb with slick 35mm or 50mm tires.
